Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris: Community Challenges

As many of you have noticed, LCTOO’s Overworld features a shiny landmark near Osiris’ shrine called the Community Chest. The chest is where you collect prizes from weekly community challenges.

What’s a community challenge, you say?

Community Challenges

While LCTOO features a slew of goodies to uncover in the world, either through unlocking treasure chests or via tomb-specific challenges, we’ll also reward you for working together towards the bigger picture. If you want to get your hands on special items like gold weapons, bonus bags of gems, and some accessories with hilarious side effects, pay attention to our weekly community challenges, detailed in LCTOO’s main menu.

This week’s challenge – Burn Baby Burn – tasks the community with killing 5,000 exploding flaming mummies using your SMGs. Do so and you’ll all be rewarded with a Gold SMG. Once unlocked, you can gather your reward from the Community Chest in the Overworld. Please note – challenges are platform-specific. You’ll have to work with other community members on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC to unlock the rewards separately.

Challenges will run Sunday (12:01 AM PM PST) to Saturday (11:59 PM PST) each week. The reward will be available in the Community Chest as soon as it is unlocked, but will only remain for 24 hours (11:59 Sunday night) after the challenge closes. Don’t forget to pop in and secure your prize! If you miss out, we’ll likely offer the item up again in the future.

Set’s Challenge Weekends

Every once in a while we’ll throw in a secondary weekend challenge for good measure. Running Friday to Sunday, these challenges will mostly reward large bags of gems or offer a second chance at items.

Community Events

From time to time we’ll also host Community Events. You’ll be able to opt into these if you’re looking for something extreme – like playing with an unending shower of flaming meteors. Attempt an Overworld combat challenge with an event turned on to earn ultimate bragging rights. At the end of the event, survivors will be rewarded with a bag of gems.

Good luck, and have fun!
